USB Webcam Flickers and Wireless Keyboard Issues

I am having the same problem with my HP Spectre x360 Convertable 13 ae0xx connected to the TBT3-UDZ. I have tried 2 webcams on all the USB ports. I am also having issues with my wireless keyboard when connected to the dock. I have updated the firmware and all drives with no change.

For the wireless keyboard issues, depending on the type of issues you’re having, it may be related to wireless interference. Most USB receivers for wireless mice and keyboards operate in the 2.4Ghz band. When connecting the receiver to any USB 3.0 port there is potential for interference that can affect the devices performance.

The most effective method is to add a short USB 2.0 extension cable between the dock and the receiver to mitigate the effect, and many wireless keyboards and mice come with such a cable for this reason. For the webcam issues, can you tell me what brand and model webcams are having problems through the dock? In addition, we have a troubleshooting tool that helps us find out what is going on in situations like this. H Josh, I already an extensive email thread going with Bob. I was pointing out that the issues may be related to specifically the HP x360 Spectre since both of us are having similar issues on similar model of PC’s.

Appreciate the information! Understood, I will let Bob know about the possible link between these HP Spectre x360 systems.
