Plugable USB 3.0 Docking station Driver Install

Can you install Plugable USB 3.0 drivers without CD. I have a Laptop and no external CD drive. I searched the website but can not find full install CD image to download and install

any help on this would be great

Thanks for posting your question here! The Plugable UD-3000 has the DisplayLink DL-3700 chipset inside. All our USB graphics products also have a DisplayLink chipsets inside and use the DisplayLink drivers.

If Windows Update is turned on and you have Internet connectivity when the Plugable UD-3000 is connected to your laptop for the first time, then the drivers would automatically be downloaded and installed on the system.

If Windows Update is turned off or the laptop does not have Internet connectivity when the Plugable UD-3000 is connected to the laptop for the first time, then you would have to manually download and install the drivers.

ok so I am running Windows 8 Pro. should it work? I plugged power into docking station then linked everything to station and then plugged station to my laptop but Windows is not firing up New Device install?

Although DisplayLink is working to resolve the most serious Windows 8 issues (other than DRM video playback), we can’t really specify a time-frame. If you are interested, we can put you on the DisplayLink Windows 8 notification list and notify you when these driver issues clear up and we begin recommending Windows 8 with our hardware.
