as stated above I have the same issue as https://support.plugable.com/t/some-problems-with-2020-13-macbook-pro/19328 the only difference is that I have tried 2 different pluggable devices and my Macbook pro shuts down randomly when I connect it to either pluggable docking station.

Hello David,
Thanks for contacting Plugable support! I’m sorry to hear about this display issue through your Plugable docking station, but I’d be happy to help!
To clarify, could you please provide the Amazon Order ID associated with your Plugable device? This information helps me understand the specific model of Plugable dock you have, as well as confirms purchase information and warranty status in case it may be needed later.
Since this issue is being seen with two different systems, we can safely say the dock is not the issue.
Usually, in cases like this where displays are inconsistent through a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C dock, it’s good practice to try a few things on the system side to see if there’s any improvement:
- Unplug the dock from the Mac
- Perform an SMC reset: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
- Perform an NVRAM/PRAM reset: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
- Plug the dock back into the Mac and see if the behavior has improved
If these steps help, great! If not, I’d like to request some logs from your system to investigate further. Could you please keep the Plugable dock connected to your system (with the non-working displays still attached), then navigate to our PlugDebug tool (https://plugable.com/support/plugdebug) and follow the instructions there?
Please use “Reference case ID 347498” in the subject of the email.
Thanks for giving us a chance to help!
