I have your 4-port USB 3.0/2.0 Hub with 4a power adapter with 4 drives attached to it (2 Fantom’s and 2 LaCie’s). Three of the drives work fine with it, but the 2nd LaCie (LaCie Rugged 1 TB USB 3.0 Mini Disk Portable Hard Drive 301558) keeps dropping it’s connection. It doesn’t matter which port I use, but that one drive won’t work with it. Is there a firmware patch or something that can resolve this?
Thanks for contacting Plugable Support, we’ll be able to help. Just to isolate the issue a bit, can you say if the LaCie drive that’s having the disconnection problems works when it is the only drive connected or does it always disconnect?
Does it disconnect when connected directly to your computer?
Can you switch the cable that’s connected to the drive with another?
You can also try a USB 2.0 mini B cable if you have one, it it works it would help isolate the cable as a potential issue.
