Why is instant View asking for permission to record this computer's screen?

Trying to setup UGI HDNI 2S on my Mac M2 OS 15 for 2 Dell external displays.
Learned from a different thread here that I need to have macOS InstantView installed on my Mac for the setup to work. Seems straight forward so far. However after installing the software, it need permission to record my Mac screen for it to work ? I am confused, why is this permission needed ?

Here is the promo message I have on my screen.

“macOS InstantView” would like to record this computer’s screen.

Hello AD,

Thank you for reaching out on the forums!

MacOS requires the user to permit “Screen Recording” for the InstantView driver to work properly. Approving it enables the InstantView to access the pixels it needs to render a mirrored or extended screen and send the pixels over USB from your computer to the InstantView display. It does not send any data or pixels back to Silicon Motion or Apple.

Thank you.
