Whats the best long haul cabling arrangement for a Plugable Usb 2.0 docking station?

I am using a Plugable ud-160 dock to drive a 1280 X 1024 display and a keyboard / mouse. The ud-160 is driven over 10’ of usb cable, . Keyboard input is often slow to display. Would an active usb cable help typing response? I’d use a powered hub drive the active cable. The system unit ports may not have the drive for a long cable. Video hammers Usb 2.0 pretty hard, unlike mouse events or keystrokes.

We are working with the customer directly for a solution.

Thanks,
Ellen
