I’ve turned off the firewall on both computers and the Mcaffee on my new one, but still can’t connect. Mcaffee set to not turn on until restart.
Both blue lights are flashing in synch on the cable.
please help!

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us! I do apologize for any trouble you’ve had with our Transfer Cable, and I am here to help! Are you receiving a message about, “waiting for connection?” This issue typically revolves around antivirus/security/firewall, like McAfee, and or multiple versions of transfer software open at one time. The software also cannot be used in Safe Mode, and you must have at least Service Pack 3 in Windows XP for it to work.
I’d definitely suggest to make sure that any such security software is temporarily disabled, which you have stated you’ve done. Is the Bravura software only open? Windows has its own “Windows Easy Transfer” that can open automatically when the cable is connected. If this program launches, it can confuse the cable and the Bravura software keeping them from running.
If that does not work, I would suggest it would be helpful if you were to connect the cable to each PC and run our handy diagnostic tool at the following link: https://plugable.com/support/plugdebug/.
A folder with the results will be placed on your desktop after running the tool. To supply the results, you would need to contact us directly at: support@plugable.com with Ticket# 237265 in the subject and attach the zip folder results.
Thank you,
Kevin
