using plugable dongle with ubuntu 14.04

hello,
i am using plugable dongle with laptop which is having ubuntu 14.04. It is having a builtin BLE dongle. Laptop is having kernal 3.13.0-24-generic.
When I am plugging in the BLE lsusb command showing the dongle to be detected but hcitool dev showing only the default adapter. How to disable the default adapter and use the dongle using hci commands
