at times, the 7 port usb hub fails to reconnect devices plugged into hub once PC is turned on. once i power cycle the hub, the devices are recognized as confirmed by the blue lights. Anyone had a similar issue?

Depending on when you purchased the hub it’s possible it is running out of date firmware.
