I have a USB3 Hub with Ethernet. It’s attached to a Dell Inspiron running 8.1. The hub “disappears” occasionally, requiring me to unplug and replug it in. Also, the external harddrive that it is attached will also disappear randomly too, complicating the auto-backup. I have tried the Plugable in all three of my USB ports (3, 3 w power, and 2). Same problems.

Based on your description it sounds like you may have a faulty unit. I see you have also reached out to us directly via support@plugable.com.
