So my USB2-E1000 is working great on my laptop running 3.2.0-38-generic-pae ubuntu desktop, however I can’t figure out how to get it to work on a laptop running 3.2.0-38-generic-pae server.
modinfo asix
gives me the exact same info on both machines.

looks okay (I think?) as well:

usbcore: registered new interface driver asix
But no blinking lights, no internet. Sorry I don’t really know where to go from here, I reckon there is something installed on laptop 1 that isn’t on laptop 2 but not sure what. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
