Hi, I was told by Acer Support to purchase a USB c docking station to enable the linkbox for the Vr headset to connect to the laptop - I cannot get this to work - any ideas?

We’re unsure why Acer would have recommended to purchase a USB-C docking station for this system as it appears to not have a fully functional USB-C port for such a dock. Looking at the specifications from Acer it appears to only have a basic function USB-C port with USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) data-only.
“USB Type-C port: USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps)”
There’s no mention of supporting additional USB-C functionality for video output (USB-C VESA DisplayPort Alternate Mode) or USB-C Power Delivery charging which our dock requires to function properly.
As such it sounds like you may need to return the dock for a full refund as we don’t expect it to be compatible.
