I have a Pluggable USB Serial Converter (D10-00110815) and I’m unable to get it to work reliably since I upgraded to OS X El Capitan. I have tried the new “Mac OS X Universal Binary Driver v1.6.0” but it doesn’t work. I can sometimes get the port to work once, but have to physically unplug and replug it after each use (open/close connection.) The adapter has worked fine in the past, but is now virtually useless.
In looking in the System Console, I see entries like this:
11/23/15 1:59:06.000 AM kernel[0]: me_nozap_driver_PL2303()::allocateResources - open data interface failed.
