Hello-
I installed the latest software driver and now the USB ports on the back do not work. The ones of the front give power, but they also do not work. The audio also does not work, and shows as “plugable audio… not plugged in”.

Hi Jaren,
Thanks for reaching out to us, I’d be more than happy to assist you with your Plugable UD-3000. In order to do so, we’ll need some additional information to figure out what exactly is going on.
First, can you completely reinstall the DisplayLink drivers by following these steps:
-
Disconnect the adapter from the computer.
-
Run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool to completely uninstall existing DisplayLink Software:
http://displaylink.com/techsupport_fi…
-
Download driver v7.6 M2 from the below link and follow the installation prompts.
http://www.displaylink.com/support/sl…
-
Reboot the computer.
-
Replug the adapter to the computer. Allow several minutes for the driver to enumerate and for the firmware upgrade to complete.
Once that is complete, can you please run our log gathering tool Plugdebug. Simply go to this site, follow the prompts there, and send us the resulting .zip file at support@plugable.com.

With these logs, we’ll have a better idea of what is going on and what to do next.

I have exactly the same problem. I have run the displaylink cleaner and re-installed as described above and the problem is still not fixed.
Also the USB ports on the front of the unit are a very tight fit. It is difficult to insert a USB plug. This is not the case with the ports on the rear.
Please advise how to send you the the debug zip file.
