USB Fujitsu scanner not showing up

Just bought new Lenovo Thinkpad Gen13 Aura. Dock works for monitor and keyboard support but devices plugged into USB - A not recognized

Hello fcschreiber,

Thank you for reaching out on the forums! I am sorry to hear that you are running into issues with your TBT4-UDX1, but I would be happy to help diagnose the issue here.

First, can you confirm that you are trying to connect to your laptop using the included Thunderbolt 4 cable that came with your dock? We’ve seen issues arise when a third party cable is used.

Next, can you confirm that this issue is present no matter which USB-A port you connect the scanner to? It sounds like a keyboard works when connected to the dock, which likely uses a USB-A port as well, correct?

Can you also confirm that this issue is present when the dock is connected to the other Thunderbolt 4 port on your laptop?

Thank you,

Evan

Evan:

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I was setting up the Dock with my old laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga (first Generation) while waiting for my new Thinkpad (X1 Carbon Gen13 Aura). Was trying to link dock thru USB-A with USB-C cable with adapter. Didn’t work but the new machine came in and worked fine when I connected to Thunderbolt port. So that problem is solved.

The scanner problem still exists but not a dock issue. Figured out the the Fujitsu fl-6130 is not supported by Win 11 on the new laptop. Not sure how I will fix that. Trying not to buy new scanner. Any ideas?

At any rate, Plugable dock seems to be working okay right now.

Thanks again

Fred

Hello Fred,

Thank you for the response, and I am glad to hear that you were able to diagnose the issue here.

I can’t recommend any specific troubleshooting steps with the Fujitsu Scanner, so you might have to reach out to the manufacturer to see if they can shed some light on this issue.
