USB do not show up in OS if usb-c cable not plugged in at boot time

Hi there,

I was a happy user of the plugable usb-c triple display docking station with my hp specter x360 convertible laptop. Everything was working without problem.

I did last week the Windows 10 1809 update and since then, USB connected to the docking station does work only if I connect the USB-C cable to the laptop BEFORE turning it up

This is really annoying, having to reboot the laptop every time I connect the USB-C Cable to the laptop. Would you have a solution for this problem ?

Regards

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

Unfortunately to my knowledge we’ve not encountered this issue before. We have a troubleshooting tool that helps us find out what is going on in situations like this. Please plug the dock into your computer, then go to this page and follow the instructions there:

http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

It may be helpful to have you do this twice, once with the dock in a good state and once with it in a bad state.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
