I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT AND USB CABLES WERE NOT LONG ENOUGH TO REACH. i PURCHASED 2 LONGER USB CABLES. IT WORKED AT FIRST, BUT NOW IT KEEPS SAYING USB DEVICE CAN NOT BE RECOGNIZED ON BOTH COMPUTERS. I HAVE A BROTHER MFC-825DW ATTACHED TO 2 COMPUTERS WITH YOUR USB2-SWITCH2. ONE COMPUTER HAS WINDOWS 7 64 BIT AND THE OTHER HAS WINDOWS VISTA WITH SP3.

Hello Lane,

I am very sorry to hear this. I am also sorry to say that extension cables tend to cause problems. Can you please test the USB switch with its originally supplied USB cables to verify it works? Do the LEDs still light up when switching back and fourth?

Kind regards,

I checked and one of my usb cables was an extension cable. I removed it and replaced with regular usb cable and it is working fine so far.

Thanks, Lane
