My usb-c to hdmi/vga/dvi adpater isn’t sending signal to the additional monitor.
Pseudo-techincal specs:
Dell Precision 5520 is connected to the thunderbolt 3 docking station.
I’m successfully using one monitor via displayport (to hdmi).
I have another monitor that I’d like to use that accepts just DVI and VGA. I got a USB-C to VGA/DVI/HDMI adapter.
When I plug it in (via VGA) the additional monitor says it doesn’t see a signal.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for contacting us, and I would be happy to help with your TBT3-UDV docking station!
Based on your description of the behavior, it sounds like the USB-C to VGA/DVI/HDMI adapter is the problem. Plugable does not make a product like you describe, so for the benefit of anyone else following this thread may I ask you to provide a web link to the specific unit you are using?
For connecting a DVI or VGA display to the TBT3-UDV, we recommend using either our USB-C to DVI adapter -> https://plugable.com/products/usbc-dvi/ (along with a DVI cable, not included) or our USB-C to VGA cable -> https://plugable.com/products/usbc-vg… These products have been tested and confirmed to work with our dock.
Thank you!
Bob
