I have a UD-ULTC4K that came with a 3ft USB-C cord. Can I use a longer cord since my setup makes the 3 footer inconvenient. Plugable only seems to have a 3 footer for sale.
Hi Brian, thanks for posting and asking! If looking for longer USB-C cables it is important to look for a product that is USB-IF certified and can support USB 3.1, video and power delivery. We generally recommend these cables –> https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-USB-IF-…, (currently out of stock) but they are the same length as the one that comes with the dock and I do not have a longer variation to recommend currently.
From our internal testing, our Thunderbolt 3 cables –> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01… have worked well with our UD-ULTC4K.
