USB 3.0 to SATA Docking Station ejects with heavy I/O

My brand new USB 3.0 HDD Docking Station ejects itself from Windows 7 Device Manager and reinserts itself under heavy I/O while using a 3.0 slot. It doesn’t happen on a USB 2 port. I’m using a WIndowsWipe tool to wipe a WD 2TB SATA HDD and about 5% into it, the program fails and the drive disapears, then reapears.

Hi Grant,

Thanks for contacting Plugable Support, we’ll be happy to help. I’d like to have you check your USB 3.0 host controller driver dates. You can find this under device manager by looking at the driver tab for your USB 3.0 host controller.

Let me know what USB 3.0 host controller you have and I’ll look to see if there’s updated firmware.

Next, what is your Amazon Order id? Just send an email with these details to support@plugable.com and we’ll get you fixed up.

Thanks,
Jerome.
