USB 3.0 RNDIS mode

Good morning, i ask if it’s possible to use the cable in RNDIS mode. That is I want create a private network point - point with a custom PC - NAS. I wondered if the cable use the PL27A1 or PL2701 chip of profilic logic (as far as the USB 2.0 that use the PL25A1) in order to use the firmware with the PID version 27A5 or 27A7 with the RNDIS capability.
Best regards

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us! Our USB 3.0 Transfer Cable uses the Prolific PL-27A1 chipset. Unfortunately, we haven’t tried this type of setup, and I couldn’t comment on whether or not it would work. The Transfer Cable is designed to be a strictly USB transfer solution, without the need of LAN or Ethernet for Windows computers running XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. You may want to check our product page for more information: https://plugable.com/products/usb3-tran/.

Thank you,

Hi Kevin, thank you for your answer. Can i ask you if do you have the firmware PID 27A5 or PID 27A7 that handle the RNDIS cable mode?
Best regards

Hello,

Thanks for the reply! No, I am sorry but we don’t. We offer a Transfer Software package: http://easycomputersync.s3.amazonaws.com/EasySyncSetup.exe, but unfortunately do not have other firmware/software or drivers available for the transfer cable. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
