USB 3.0 4-port hub stopped working

While I initially had some driver issues after purchasing the product, they had settled in to a stable configuration until today’s Windows 8 updates.

MS driver version 6.2.9200.16420 dated 9/19/2012

Drive status is: This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Device Timeout}
The specified I/O operation on %hs was not completed before the time-out period expired.
