product says usb 2.0 has to be used – comp says error and only has 3.0 usb outlets.what do i do is there a way it works with 3.0 usb outlets.-- thankyou.
Hello,
Thank you for posting here. Electronically, the adapter works fine with USB 3.0 ports. However, many poorly-shielded USB 3.0 ports can leak radio interference that can reduce the range and quality of the Bluetooth signal if the adapter is plugged into them. For this reason we recommend using USB 2.0 ports if possible.
If your adapter is not working at all, then the port is probably not the issue. It is more likely to be a driver conflict or other software issue affecting the adapter. Fortunately, we can usually find and fix those kind of issues.
Could you please answer a few questions that will help me better understand the issue?
-
What version of Windows are you using?
-
What is the make and model of the Bluetooth peripheral device (such as speakers, headphones, keyboard, mouse, etc.) that you are trying to connect to your computer through the adapter?
-
What exactly is that error you are seeing?
Thank you,
David
