I am attempting to use a USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet adapter to connect my Wii to the internet with an ethernet cable. I have tested the connection multiple times on the Wii, and each time it fails. I have talked to Wii tech support and they gave no helpful information. The ethernet cable is fine, it works on my laptop. The adapter seems to be functioning, the lights light up. I cannot figure out any reason that the connection won’t work. Please help.

I am sorry to hear this. So I can understand the problem better, can you please let me know which Ethernet adapter model we are dealing with (model number should be printed on the bottom of the Ethernet adapter)? Are you connecting to a home, school, or work network?
