USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter - Windows XP software does not install

Cannot get the driver software from the CD to show as installed in the Device Manager - Network Adapter. No lights on adapter lighting up. No internet connectivity.
Thanks,
Gregg

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for contacting us - sorry for the frustration, we’ll be able to help!

Can you say which of our adapters you have:

10/100 adapter http://plugable.com/products/usb2-e100/
Gigabit adapter http://plugable.com/products/usb2-e1000/

And is the ASIX driver showing in Windows’ Add/Remove Programs control panel (that is, does it seem like the driver successfully installed)?

And if you open up Windows Device Manager, does the network adapter show anywhere at all (even as an unrecognized device)?

Here’s what the device should look like when it’s plugged in, but no driver installed

And then with the driver installed

(these screenshots are for the gigabit adapter).

Just let us know where things are going wrong - we’ll be able to help. Thanks!
Bernie
