USB 2.0 Driver will not install

USB 2.0 Ethernet Adaptor AX88782A for Windows 7, 64 bit.

Following instructions, but the CD will not install drivers. Downloaded 64 bit driver from website. How do I install it manually?

Thanks for contacting us! Yes, the ASIX website (which we point to directly so the users can get the latest drivers) doesn’t have a lot of good detail on steps. Thanks for asking.

For Windows 7 64-bit, the easiest thing is ASIX’s all-in-one installer. Here’s the direct link:
http://www.asix.com.tw/FrootAttach/dr…

  1. Download and save to a location you can find on your computer
  2. Open the .zip and copy the directory out of the .zip into its own directory on your hard drive (this must be done so the files are uncompressed on your disk, so that when you run the setup program, it can access all the other files in uncompressed form)
  3. Run the setup.exe program in the uncompressed directory

That’ll install the drivers. Once they’re successfully installed, plugging in the adapter and network cable should give you a connection.

Let us know if there are any problems at all - since the install of the CD didn’t work, there may be something special going on with this system – we’ll be happy to help!

Thanks for your patience!
