US-ULTCDL not powering MSI laptop via USB-c port why?

I have an MSI model ms-16k2 laptop. Displays work great, but it is not powering the laptop.

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry to hear about this issue.

Unfortunately most MSI systems are not capable of charging over USB-C. As such, this behavior with your system and our dock is expected and normal.

You will need to charge the laptop with the charger that it came with.
