UGA-HDMI-2S isn't appearing in the Displaylink 1.7.1 toolbar (No Rotation controls either.)

I am having difficulty getting my UGA-HDMI-2S to appear in Displaylink’s 1.7.1 pop up window. I have screen visibility so the driver is working but without the dropdown rotation tool this is not working for my screen vertically rotated.

I am on a compatible version of Mac M1 running macOS Monterey 12.4.

See attached screengrab.

Hello Tom,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry to hear that your new UGA-HDMI-2S is not working as expected with your Apple macOS based product.

Please note that the UGA-HDMI-2S is not a DisplayLink based graphics adapter, and instead uses the Silicon Motion software to render your external displays.

As an additional note, unfortunately at this time display rotation is not supported using our UGA-HDMI-2S adapter based on the Silicon Motion driver software. You would instead need to purchase one of our DisplayLink based products to use that feature.

If you would like to continue using the UGA-HDMI-2S can you please try running our Silicon Motion software installation instructions? → https://kb.plugable.com/en_US/docking-stations-and-video/1237488-silicon-motion-instantview-installation-instructions-for-macos-10-15-and-later

If the above does not resolve the problem for you, can you please gather some PlugDebug diagnostics for us? When you do so please keep the displays connected to your UGA-HDMI-2S that you normally would (even if they are not working!). Once PlugDebug has finished there will be a newly exported file located on your desktop, please attach that file in your next reply to this ticket. In order to run PlugDebug please follow our step by step instructions located here → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

Once again we apologize for the trouble, and I look forward to your reply.
