UGA-3000 not showing videos

I am running Android 9 on an Odroid N2+ with a UGA-3000 adapter over a DVI cable (I have also tried with a HDMI cable) and when I try to play a H264 (mp4) video, I only get audio, no video. I have tried with multiple applications (VLC, Movie Player) and get the same results.

I have narrowed it down to an encoding (CODEC) issue, some encodings work and some don’t, I am including (since I don’t see a way to attach a file) two files; works.txt and fails.txt, which are the ffprobe information for two mp4 videos, one that works and one that ‘fails’. I am not a video expert so perhaps someone could aid me in seeing the problem.

Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out to Plugable support!

Unfortunately we do not support Android or Linux for the UGA-3000 graphics adapter as we are not equipped to do so.

That being said, if you could test those videos on a Windows system and get the same results we may be able to help further.

You could also try contacting DisplayLink directly as their support team may have a better time figuring this one out.

Thank you for giving us a chance to help.
