UD3000 not working with Lenovo Carbon X1 and windows 8.1

Hello,

We have purchased a number of UD3000. They work fine on the HP and Samsung notebooks but not on the new Lenovo Carbon X1 (model 2014) we just received. The video driver does appear as working in the USB enumeration but nothing happens when the dual screen is selected.
I have run the displaylink troubleshooting and can send you the information.
there is also one of the UD3000 USB driver at fault, “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)”. I saw the topic on that matter on the support forum, but I don’t want to brick my laptop USB ports by applying the Win 7 patch to Win 8.1!

Thank you for your help!

Reinstalling the DisplayLink drivers was able to resolve the issue:

  1. Disconnect the adapter from the computer.

  2. Run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool to completely uninstall existing DisplayLink Software:

  3. Download driver v7.6 M2 from the below link and follow the installation prompts.

  4. Reboot the computer.

  5. Replug the adapter to the computer. Allow several minutes for the driver to enumerate and for the firmware upgrade to complete.
