UD-ULTCDL Stretched Resolution

I just purchased the UD-ULTCDL dock for my Dell Pro 13 Premium (PA13250) laptop. This dock is being used to connect to my Dell S3422DWG Ultrawide monitor using the monitors included HDMI cable. At first it detects the correct resolution of 3440x1440 but it’s stretched with some thick black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. It then recommends that I down scale to 1920x1080, even though this isn’t the native resolution, I set it and the resolution is still stretched but with no black bars and the option to set it back to 3440x1440 disappears. I’ve already downloaded the Displaylink drivers from the product page for Windows 11, performed updates and rebooted my computer. Also I connected the HDMI cable directly to my laptop and it works perfectly but this ruins the purpose of the dock’s single cable connection.

One last thing of note the dock does charge and detects USB connections to my laptop just fine.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry to hear the UD-ULTCDL isn’t working as expected, and I’ll be happy to assist.

Unfortunately the UD-ULTCDL doesn’t support 3440x1440 on any of its video output ports as described in this Knowledge Base article on our website: https://kb.plugable.com/question/3359897 I’m very sorry for the bad news here.

Since this resolution is unavailable when using UD-ULTCDL, you may opt to return it to the original place of purchase for a refund. With this said, we do sell alternative docks which support up to 4K 60Hz on all of their video outputs such as the UD-ULTC4K: https://plugable.com/products/ud-ultc4k/ This may be a better option for your specific monitor.

Please let me know if you have any questions as well.

My apologies for the frustration, and thank you for giving us the chance to help.
