I am experiencing an issue with my Plugable UD-7400PD docking station, where the HDMI-connected monitors work normally, but the monitors connected through the dock’s USB-C display ports are not detected or do not display any signal. I have confirmed that the monitors themselves are working properly, because when I connect the same monitors directly via USB-C to the laptop, they work without any problem. I have also tested the dock with more than one computer, including my HP Spectre x360 13-ae00 and a Microsoft Surface, and the behavior is the same in both cases: HDMI outputs work, but the dock’s USB-C monitor outputs do not.
I have already installed the latest DisplayLink software (version 12.2) and verified that the cables and monitor connections are correct. Since the issue remains the same across different computers while direct USB-C-to-monitor connection works perfectly, I would like to understand whether this could be related to the dock’s USB-C display-output configuration, compatibility with USB-C-to-USB-C monitor connections, firmware, or a possible hardware fault on the dock itself. Please advise on the recommended troubleshooting steps or whether there is a known solution for this issue.
