Fresh out of the box, i plugged the power cord to the UD-4VPD and immediately it was blinking. I thought it was only because I hadn’t connected it to my laptop. After plugging everything in, it’s still blinking. I checked the laptop to see if it was at least charging it, but nope.
I tried everything I can think of…unplug everything, including the power brick from the unit. I tried pressing the power cord down for 20 second while off and while blinking. I tried plugging the power cord to other power outlets. Nothing seems to be working.

This sounds like a potential issue with the power adapter on your dock. The best step forward here would probably be to look into issuing a warranty replacement of the power adapter.
