Hi - Will the Plugable UD-3900 USB 3.0 Docking Station use the wifi or ethernet when connected through the docking station?

Thanks for posting. I’d be happy to answer your question.

The short answer is you can use one or the other, or even both at the same time.

The slightly longer answer is that when you are using a system connected to the dock you may use the wired Ethernet connection in the dock or you may use the integrated Wi-Fi connection in your system (it’s just a matter of enabling or disabling the either network adapter within Windows). You can also use them both at the same time, but the way I normally do it is I disable Wi-Fi when I am using the dock to ensure I am getting the speed benefit of the wired connection.
