UD-3900 dock turns off and then on randomly

Hi,

I recently bought the UD-3900 to handle a new Dell UltraSharp U3415W PXF79 34-Inch monitor with its hdmi connection.

I am using this as a docking station with the following:

HP ProBook 640 G1 Notebook
Plantronics 85619-02 Blackwire USB Headset
Keyboard
Mouse
Internet
External Speakers

Multiple times during the day, the monitor goes dark and I lose my VPN connection. 10 to 15 seconds later, the display comes back and my VPN then tries to reconnect.

For the benefit of anyone else following this thread, we have a utility to help us gather more information and troubleshoot sporadic behavior like Tobin describes called PlugDebug -> http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

When things work but not consistently, the best way forward is just after the behavior has occurred (we want to try and catch it in the logs) to send a PlugDebug file to support@plugable.com which will help us determine the next steps.
