Can I exchange the suplied cabled to connect to the host with a USB-C CONNECTION CABLE TYPE-C TO B?

Thank you for posting!

We include in the box with the UD-3900 docking station a three foot long USB 3.0 Type-A cable that is used to connect the dock to the host laptop’s USB 3.0 Type-A port.

If the host laptop you are using does not have any USB Type-A ports available but rather has only USB Type-C ports available, we suggest using our USB-A to C adapter known as the USBC-AF3 → https://plugable.com/products/usbc-af3

The USB Type-C end of the adapter will connect to the host laptop’s USB-C port, and the USB Type-A connector end of the original USB 3.0 cable will to the USBC-AF3 adapter.

There are cables that have a USB Type-B connector on one end (which can connect the dock’s USB host port) and a USB Type-C connector on the other end. However, Plugable does not sell that type of cable separately, and we cannot guarantee the compatibility or performance of 3rd-party USB cables when used with our products.
