UD-3000 fail on Surface Pro 3

I have a Surface Pro 3 and purchased two items:

  1. Plugable UD-3000 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Universal Docking Station
  2. Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI / DVI Video Graphics Adapter Card
All worked well for 2 weeks then both monitors only show a black screen. I know they are connected as the amber light on each monitor goes to blue, but nothing is rendered on the screen. I’ve running DisplayLink_7.6M2 and Plugable UD-3000 is in my system tray. Not sure what else to try.

FIXED! - Followed Stephen McCray’s advice on a different post.

First, can you completely reinstall the DisplayLink drivers by following these steps:

  1. Disconnect the adapter from the computer.

  2. Run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool to completely uninstall existing DisplayLink Software:

  3. Download driver v7.6 M2 from the below link and follow the installation prompts.

  4. Reboot the computer.

  5. Replug the adapter to the computer. Allow several minutes for the driver to enumerate and for the firmware upgrade to complete.
