Macbook Pro does not recognize my secondary monitor since upgrading to Catalina platform.
Hi Rick,
Thanks for posting!
We’ll want to reload the DisplayLink driver in order to get your Plugable dock working again. We’re prepared videos that walk through this process that you can refer to below:
- Follow our uninstall procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRRLJf6D7vc&feature=youtu.be
- Follow our install procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixWKrd5SLKs&feature=youtu.be
If you prefer, we offer text based instructions as well on our website:
- Follow our uninstall procedure: https://plugable.com/drivers/displaylink/mac/#uninstall
- Follow our install procedure: https://plugable.com/drivers/displaylink/mac/#install_catalina
Please let me know if this helps with restoring your dock functionality.
Thanks for giving us a chance to help!
Mitchell
That didn’t work.
We’ll want to investigate further into your system to see what went wrong during the installation, as there are a couple steps that when not properly completed, will result in a non-working DisplayLink extension (e.g. step 4, 11-14).
Could you please send me a copy of your System Report, collected when the dock and all displays are connected? (Apple Menu → About this Mac → System Report → File/Save).
Please send this directly to us at support@plugable.com with the subject line: “Ticket #285447”
Thanks,
Mitchell
