trying to set-up ethernet connection for my MacBook air

I have a macBook air and purchased a USB 3.0 to Gigabit driver so I could connect to an ethernet line. It came with a disc for the driver software however I don’t have a disc adapter ?

Hi Mel,

Thank you for posting your question.

Many Macs have the software pre-installed. Have you tried just plugging the network cable into the adapter, then plugging the adapter into the computer?

If you did, and it didn’t work, we have a troubleshooting tool that can help find out what is going. With the adapter plugged in, please go to this page, and follow the instructions there:

http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

When you run the program, it will create a zip file on your desktop with your computer name and the date. Please send that file directly to our support email address support@plugable.com. Thanks!

Thank you!
