Hi,
I have recently started using plugable triple display hub. I have 2 screens connected to my hub.
2k LG monitor connected to HDMI Port 1 - Alt Mode
1080 P Benq screen connected to Port 3
Every time I switch on my laptop and screens, I have to remove and reconnect the power cable or hdmi cable from the hub so that the hub can identify the 2K resolution on the LG screen.
Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry the UD-ULTCDL isn’t working as expected, and I’ll be happy to assist.
Based on your description of the behaviour, our next step is to get some additional information.
Can you please send an email to our direct support email address (support@plugable.com) with “For ticket # 459043” in the subject line? In the email, please include the following information:
The Amazon/Walmart/Newegg/eBay Order ID number for your docking station purchase. For Amazon this can be found at www.amazon.com/orders
You mentioned “Every time I switch on my laptop and screens, I have to remove the power cable or hdmi cable from the hub so that the hub can identify the 2K resolution on the LG screen.” By this do you mean that the LG monitor doesn’t work at all when the laptop turns on, or does it work but only at the incorrect resolution?
While the docking station and displays are connected to your laptop (even if not working as expected), the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug: https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug
This information will help us to determine the next steps.
