Touch ID not working when plugged into station

I’m using a Plugable 4K USB C Docking Station with a MBA M2 and the Touch ID just does not work anytime I am plugged into the dock. Anyone else running into this issue? Is there a suggested workaround or fix?

It looks like there are a few people that have reported losing the ability to use Touch ID when other devices such as a USB hub is connected to the computer as well as different reports of people using the computer in clamshell mode losing the ability to use Touch ID.

Unfortunately, none of the threads that I found presented any type of solution for the issue and many of them date from over a year back.

This may or may not be helpful, but I did find the following troubleshooting steps that are recommended by Apple if you are having issues with Touch ID. It sounds like you may have already performed these steps, but I just wanted to provide them to you just in case you did not.
