TBT3-UDZ didn't run two monitor

Hello, i try to connect two monitor but one of them work the other no .
i used macbook air 2022 M2.

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out on the forums! I am sorry to hear that you are running into issues with your TBT3-UDZ, but I would be happy to help diagnose the issues here.

As you may or may not know, the M2 MacBook Air can only support up to 1x external display natively.

In order to achieve dual displays on the M2 MacBook Air, you will need a DisplayLink based dock. Specifically, I would look into the UD-6950PDH or the UD-ULTC4K.

I hope this helps!

what the difference between mine and the other ? why TBT3-UDZ didn’t support ?

Hello there,

The two docks I listed above use a technology called DisplayLink, which takes video data, converts it to USB data so it can be passed along the USB 3.0 protocol, and then a chip in the dock can convert it back to video data to output to the monitors. This allows you to bypass certain hardware limitations, such as the single display limitation of the M2 MacBook Air.

The TBT3-UDZ does not support DisplayLink so it will not work with the DisplayLink software unfortunately.

Thank you,

Evan

Hello,
I think both monitors are securely connected to the correct ports, check their power and input settings, and verify compatibility with any adapters or dongles. Use System Preferences to confirm monitor detection and adjust settings as needed. Restart your MacBook Air and update macOS to resolve connectivity issues with external monitors efficiently.

is there dock without charger ? or separate in another port?

If you are interested in a dock that does not offer power delivery / host charging, then I would check out our UD-6950Z dock:

what do you think about UD-6950H is it better? and what the difference between its

The UD-6950H is functionally similar to the UD-6950Z, except that it has a horizontal configuration as well as a physical power switch located on the back of the device, and it has separate audio input/output ports for connecting microphones and speakers or headphones. The display capabilities are the exact same.
