Super Speed Hub on Linux Mint 14

How can I get a new Super Speed Hub working on Linux Mint 14?

I’m connecting directly to the motherboard (GA-X79-UP4) back panel connector using the cable that came with the hub.

I’m receiving the following kernel messages:
