Sudden slowness, likely related to recent Windows 10 update

I have a Plugable UGA-165, and very recently, it started creating a large slowdown for my UI on all monitors, rendering my computer almost unusable.

I disabled the desktop controlled with my Plugable UGA-165, and the problem went away.

I suspect that this was caused by the recent Windows 10 update “DisplayLink driver update for DisplayLink USB Device”, which my system auto-installed 2 days ago.

Are there any known solutions for this problem?
