I have had problems with the latest HDD technology from Western Digital, Seagate and Buffalo. In my attempt to add an HDD Backup device to my Windows 10 system, all failed even though Windows Device Manager said each device was working correctly. The problem with all turned out to be insufficient power from my USB 2.0 connection. The USB2-HUB7BC solved the problem.
