Screen not updating with Microsoft Excel

I recently purchased a Pluggable UD-3900H and have noticed that when I’m working on an Excel spreadsheet certain actions don’t update on the screen. For example if I select the entire sheet and try to change the font, the screen will not show that change. If I minimize the app and bring it back up it will show the updated view. It will do the same thing when I hide or insert a row or column. I haven’t noticed this in any other program to this point.

I have the latest display driver and have made certain that the docking station is plugged into a USB 3 port & my monitor is plugged into the HDMI port on the UD-3900H. Any other thoughts on what I can try?

Does the same behavior in Excel still occur when using your main monitor on your laptop/system?
