Screen is pixelated and shaking


I just received my UGA-2K-A in the mail. I plug it in, and it everything seems to be great. Everything is working just as promised.

After about 1 hour of work, the screen starts to pixelate just a little bit.

After a whole days work, the screen has become unusable. The screen is shaking, and pixelating really bad. I tried switching monitors, does the same on other monitors. I tried switch USB ports, doesn’t help.

I am running a 2008 MacBook Pro with:

Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB

Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)

Is there something that can be done, or did I get a faulty product?

Thanks for contacting Plugable. Sorry about the problems that are occurring with the UGA-2K-A.

DisplayLink just released a new driver for the Mac, so I wanted to make sure that was the version you were using. You can find it at…. If this is not the version you’ve installed, please delete the current driver and install the one at the link I just provided.

If the problems persist with the new driver or the new driver was the driver you’d already installed, can you run the diagnostic tool linked from… and send the compressed output files to with the subject “Mac DisplayLink Files for Aaron”? This info will help me determine next steps.
