Removing Screw in anchors?

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the screw anchors on either side of the serial end of the USB-serial adapter. I can’t plug this into any of my devices because they inhibit the male serial end from plugging into the female end which also has screw anchors.

Hi Ben,

It’s possible, but not easy to remove the screw in anchors on our USB-serial adapter. Another way would be to use a small extension, or gender changer like this: http://www.amazon.com/Male-Female-Min…

I have a similar problem. My device has a Male serial connector with two nuts to accept a female serial connector with two screws. The gender changer does not do this. Can you advise a better way.
