question on USB 3.0 4-Port Hub

Hi. We have your USB 3.0 4-Port Hubs for our two Thinkpad X1 Carbon Touch PCs, and they seem to be working fine.

Right now, we are each using two slots, one for your USB 3.0 Gigabit Adapter USB3-E1000 and one for a USB 3.0 external hard drive.

We also have your USB 2.0 4-Port Hubs for our PCs’ USB 2.0 connections. (Both your 2.0 and 3.0 hubs have their own power supplies, which I think is keeping our thinkpads running pretty cool.)

However, if we decided to use 1 or 2 of the 3.0 Hub slots for USB 2.0 devices, e.g., a printer, would that degrade the use of the other two 3.0 devices on the 3.0 hubs?

Thanks.

Hi Lester,

Thanks for posting your question here also! As mentioned in my reply to your email sent to support@plugable.com with the same question, USB 3.0 devices would not be slowed down by plugging in USB 2.0 devices on other ports on a USB 3.0 hub.

If you ever need any help or information regarding any of our products, please do feel free to shoot us an email at support@plugable.com. We are here to help!
