Programming BLE with Raspberry Pi

Hi,

I ordered the Plugable USB Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Micro Adapter and I intend to use it on Raspberry Pi to enable BT low energy. I understand that the recent kernel include the needed driver. Any idea how I program it? Ideally I would like to write my code with Python and enable an iOS app to communicate with my Raspberry Pi. But any other language can work for me as well (C, C++, etc.).
